Can I request 911 recordings with this portal?

No. 911 Dispatch is a function of St. Joseph County E-911 Center. Requests for those recordings must be made directly with that governmental entity. https://www.stjosephcountymi.org/services/freedom-of-information-act-foia

I don't know the incident #; can I still request the report?

Yes. Provide as much information as possible. We will contact you with any questions.

Why did I receive a partial denial of my request?

Some information is protected by other statutes. Laws such as the Body-Worn Camera Privacy Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Crime Victim's Rights Act are just a few.

How long will it take for you to fill my request?

The City of Sturgis has 5 business days to respond to your request. However, we can request up to an additional 10 days to respond.
